Reseeding

Over coffee, black no sugar,
They rolled exotic tastes on their tongues
and casually spit them out,
expecting her to wipe them up
with a single swipe
and go on about her business
as usual.
But not this time
she thought, giddy as she flung off
her pinching shoes
and ran barefoot around herself
and through herself, waving as she
Spun off like a blown dandelion.

She giggled as the wind caught her
and split her apart and she watched herself
tumble head under heels
until she grew too dizzy, and far apart,
to see clearly.

When she finally landed,
she rooted down
deep everywhere and everywhere deep,
thinly spread,
But she liked the strain.

Falling

falling, love,
falling deep
down into your
abyss, or is it
bliss? I can’t
be sure, sometimes
the rush is too
much for me,
but I don’t fight
Love, I can’t
fight what I
don’t want to lose

So as long as
there is ground below
and sky above
I’d like to keep falling
into you, love,

If you’ll let me.
